Hey GX enthusiasts!

This is my first post as I await the arrival of my '24 GX OT (Caviar). I'm in Colorado where the demand is high and the allocations are low. I actually used this Lexus GX Forum to find salesman Nick Ensey @ Lexus of Pembroke Pines (in Ft. Lauderdale) who, almost immediately, hooked me up with a truck. The vehicle is supposed to hit US soil next week. Totally stoked!

Welcome to the forum.

Wow! I’m feeling pretty fortunate to be able to get one at Houston area dealer about 30 minutes from my house. My OT+ should arrive by the end of the month. But I would have made the drive, too, in order to get a GX.

Good point. And I’m certainly empathic to our friends in SoCal. Do you think it would impact those of us who already have a dealer allotment dedicated to us that is in transport from Long Beach, CA?

Chambo, I am in the exact same situation, been on waitlists since June. Based in CO and just got connected with a sales person at Pembroke Pines. I had a GX I ended up passing on here in CO, not the exact specs I wanted with too much extra stuff added on but I am ready to buy.

How has the process been with them? Have you bought cars and had them shipped previously?

I am hesitant on that front but if I am going to pay a few grand above MSRP for dealer stuff I don't want, I would rather put that towards shipping costs and get the exact spec I am after.

Welcome Chambo, congrats!
Based in Western Slope, just picked up my Overtrail one month ago in Albuquerque.
Was on 6 wait lists for 6 months…
FWIW: I had a great experience having a new ‘22 Sequoia delivered from Arizona to my neighborhood 3 years ago, I think it was $350 arranged thru the dealership. I gave the driver an extra $75 tip.
Good luck. 😊

So far process has been transparent and there was lots of inventory (updated every 2-4 weeks) to choose from. Truck is scheduled to arrive this week or next. Customs is supposed to take another 5-10 days, and then I'm having it shipped. Cost is MSRP + $1300 dealer fee (and--for me--shipping costs).

How did this work out for you? I am ready to give up on the local dealers, and Pembroke has a truck that meets our requirements.

Tell Nick that Jeff Chamberlain from Colorado sent you. Nick is who you want, hands down.
I used the transport broker that Nick hooked me up with for shipping, enclosed.
However, I also considered a quote from Aaron @ summitautotransport.com.

Congrats. My 2025 Overtrail+ arrives at Pembroke around April 28th and will be be shipped to Colorado. Can you share how much your shipping was? Did you ship directly to Steamboat? Any other tips or insight on any part of the Pembroke process? Thanks!
