Does anybody have a good set-up for a hitch-mount bike rack? When I first installed, the GX would lock the brakes when in reverse. That is fixed by turning off the auto-brake feature which has a physical button by the hatch open. I still have the issue of the rearward sensors going off whenever it's in reverse. I have the same issue on a BMW X3, but that car has a button where you can turn off the beeping. I also tried putting a test plug into the trailer electric hook-ups on my BMW (to spoof a trailer connected), but that didn't work (not enough of a load).

I was wondering if there is a setting or hack to make backing up with a hitch-mounted bike rack better. The current situation is not bad, but wondering if I can optimize a bit. Thanks.

You can mute the tone in the touchscreen, but you need to do it every time you put it in reverse. As far as I know, you can't disable the tone without a third party tool. I just deal with it. I have a Thule Revert 4.
