I'm not new to Lexus, but I have a deposit down on a 2026 Overtrail that I was told would be here between 12/16 & 1/5. However, it has not arrived, I have an issue where it is critical that I receive it soon. The dealership's last update was on 12/4 saying that the vessel it was on has arrived. No further updates have come. I went to the dealership this past Saturday and their computer says the same as the image below which was from 12/5/2025. I hate to cancel the order, but it seem the vehicle is lost. I just can't believe most companies selling and shipping can tell you when a $1.00 pack of gum will arrive at your door and Lexus can tell me when a $80K+ vehicle will arrive at their dealership. I'm hoping someone here has some experience that can help.

Thanks in advance.

The estimate says it right there - arrival at dealership 12/16/25 - 01/05/26. Since today is the 01/06/26, I would say it still within the framework of when to reasonably expect delivery at the dealership based on my experience, what people have posted here, normal processing delays, and the holiday season.

Right, but it has been saying that since 12/4 and none of the other milestones have been filled in since "vessel arrive." No indication that it has even been processed.

It's pretty clear what the status is. Tens of thousands of vehicles arrive in the port and need to be processed and moved onto the next carrier.

Your comparison to a pack of gum is not apples to apples. The car needs to be built and then moved via various methods halfway around the world. At each one of these handoffs a delay can occur.

For whatever it is worth, I had a landed date and expected date at the dealership. I was trying to coordinate a pickup that required a flight before spending a week in the backcountry with no cell service. I got no updates until I was driving to the put-in, when a video from my salesperson showed it had just arrived. I think it was 4 or 5 days later than expected with no updates in their system.

I called immediately, offered my credit card to put down a bigger deposit, and gave my wife's contact information to do a wire. The sales manager laughed politely, declined both, and held the car for a week and a half till I arrived.

I am sure not every dealership has the same approach to customer service, but I will buy from them again, and have already had another friend buy a Lexus from the same salesperson. I am sure you are communicating and don't know the nature of your deadline, but hopefully it works out!

Thanks for the reply. This is what I was hoping to hear and what I hope my purchase will be like. This will be the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from the dealer but it is the first glitch I have had. It would have been better off for me to get it in 2025 (tax issue) but I wasn't counting on that. Now I have several other issues fast approaching. Just hoping to get it wrapped up soon.

You have given me hope. :)

How is the vehicle lost? As others mentioned it takes time to do all the processing through the port. Do you know which port yours is at? Mine came through long beach port and from others I know its 80% on time and 20% earlier or later than expected.

our 2024 OT arrived at port the first week of May 2024 and we took delivery July 25th. Currently 2 months into our wait on our 2026 OT. fortunate to not have any circumstance putting us in a hurry as we kind of learned it's not quick

Hopefully the attached will provide some indication of the scale of the logistics required to get your vehicle to you. This is the Long Beach Toyota Marine area. All of the cars in the photo are brand new. Here I beleive many of the Port Installed items, such as roof racks, sliders, etc are installed. From here they then go to the region, in our case Gulf States Toyota, via rail. Once they arrive at the region, they are then trucked to the appropriate dealership.
