I don’t have my GX 550 yet.
My current set up is a 2017 Tacoma. I pull an Off-grid trailers camper.
In order to have good visibility while towing, I’ve replaced the rearview mirror with a wolfbox LCD mirror / dashcam and wired a camera to the rear of the trailer. I’ve added a plug to the to the trailer that plugs into a new receptacle, I mounted on the back of the truck.
The topper on my truck also has a wolf box camera on it. When the trailer is plugged in the camera on the trailer, feeds the mirror and when it’s not the camera on the back of the topper feeds the mirror.
I think I’m gonna do the same thing on the GX 550. The only reason I wouldn’t is if there was someway to integrate a camera mounted to the back of the trailer into the screen display within the GX 550.
So a few questions for yall.

- any of you upgraded to a mirror based dash cam? Any issues?
- has anyone integrated a third-party camera into a GX 550 camera system?
