Lexus Traffic Jam Assist VS GM Super Cruise (7 Viewers)

GMs Super Cruise does exactly what the Lexus Traffic jam does but at a highway speed. Basically, semi-autonomous driving on highway, completely hands free.

It looks like our Lexus Traffic Jam has all the hardware for a semi autonomous driving just like the GM super cruise.

Do you guys think Lexus will bring a software update to fully use our traffic jam assist. I wouldn't mind paying a subscription for this function.

Lexus will never do it.

I don’t think Lexus’s implementation is sophisticated enough and would require significant changes to be deployed.

As it is the LTA that the cars already have isn’t very good at tracking a lane. Nowhere near reliable enough for autonomous driving.

Maybe in a future iteration but I wouldn’t hold your breath on any material features coming to our cars via software. Not lexuses conservative style.

Especially when they can use those features to get you to upgrade in 5 years.
