Yeah, if anyone says "buy once, cry once" again, I'll scream. I bought once but have cried several times when I look at my bank account.

LOL....I keep a spreadsheet with every penny I spend on my vehicles. With this GX I'm currently at $111,862.86. But this includes things like the sleeping platform, sleeping mattress, and a roof rack storage box. Stuff that's actually bolted to the truck only adds up to $110,573.91!

I just realized that with taxes, title and accessories I'm already just past $100k. I've had some really great vehicles of all varieties, but I’ve never dropped six figures on a street car before this. Not sure how I feel about that.

When I was racing PCA and SCCA I learned to never keep a spreadsheet. Sometimes denial is the only way.

I've always bought used cars & trucks, except for a leased Jeep Cherokee in 1996. We have always leased new vehicles for my wife and we just bought her MB SUV after the lease expired. This GX550 is my first brand new vehicle. I never thought I'd spend even close to 100k on a vehicle but here we are. Money just isn't the same anymore. Hell, I spent $49.xx at Shake Shack the other day for 2 burgers, 1 chicken sandwich, 1 order of fries, 2 shakes, and a Dr. Pepper.

So true. I’m impressed by the GXs capabilities and that we are all enjoying taking it on adventures. With summer approaching going to shift out of desert mode to the mountains, lakes, streams of the eastern sierra.
