Need a Mod friendly lexus service dealer in New Jersey or eastern Pennsylvania? (2 Viewers)

Hi,
I got a peak 1.25" level kit and larer wheels tyres. (285 on 20x9" wheels) on my 2026 ot+.
I have only 1700 miles and have a steering vibration and "pulling right" issue especially bad at 65+mph. I had the alignment sorted loclly (or so i thot) but still have the problem even after reverting to stock wheel/tyres.

Now i have to go to a lexus dealer to get this sorted. BUT i am worried they will make a note of the lift and tyres and might cause problems with warranty.

One toyota dealer in easton PA, is an authorized peak suspension installer, he does not have my 2026 update in his system for alignment and zero point calibrations.
Need a solid understanding lexus dealer who is friendly with modicfications. Willing to pay but, dont want to deal with warranty issues later on.

Anyone know a good dealer for this?? 🙏

I would tell the alignment spot that your truck pulls to the right and they can make the adjustment right at the steering connect
 
Get better alignment.
I had the peak 1" (now on MT64) with no issues.
From personal experience, vibration at highway speeds, on a brand new IFS, is either tire balance or alignment. Had both issues in the past on different cars. On my OT+, the only time I had vibrations at highway speeds was after I got new tires and they had a balance issue. Must get road-force balance.

If it wasn't for the 'pulling right', I'd say tires, but if it's also pulling, I'd say alignment.

Note 1- Any lift requires toe correction. A lift on IFS causes toe-in. If toe was corrected when the steering wheel wasn't perfectly centered, that'll cause a pull to one side. Also, too much toe-in will cause vibrations at speed.

Note 2- The vibrations might still be tires (although unlikely), even with the OEM wheels/tires, as I'm sure you didn't return each wheel to its original spot. I forget which is which, but a poorly balanced wheel would behave different when mounted front vs rear.

Edit: I don't think any Lexus dealer cares about your peak suspension thing, assuming you just ask them to do an alignment (if you don't want to go back to whomever did it in the first place). As far as warranty goes, changing wheels, tires or suspension parts will only void suspension related warranty, but considering we all end up upgrading the suspension I don't really see why I'd care about that. Also there are a lot of practically brand new take-off shocks and coils if you ever need them. I got mine in the garage.

thanks for the info on road-force balance and rotating an imbalance tyre causing different behavior. I did chalk down the factory wheel positions on the tires when getting new sets. So , they did go back on on the right positions.. Will keep that in mind. Appreciate all the info!


I got my new wheels and tyres at america's tire. They definitely did the balancing, but only did the alignment assessment but only had uptil 2025 gx550 OT+ on their system and said they wouldnt do alignment. I cud see a toe in (pic below).

So i took it to another alignment center 'mavis' and they said the same at first (they had only till 2025 model) I told them its the same body style and they agreed to do it but couldnt charge me for it. Nice of them, so i left a big tip for the boys. I did get a copy of the report (pic below). But still the same issue. Even after truning off all assists and sensors possible on the screen.

I would imagine that the camber would be off when lifted, somehow they are showing all clear.:unsure:

I know this will be it for my susp/wheel upgrades, so i want to get all the sensors, cameras zeroed out on level ground. A good collision shop should have a targeted and static calibration systems but i'd rather have it re-calibrated on lexus techstream just to be sure & safe. but not all lexus service technicians are the same... if they didnt see and solve this lift/tyre alignment/sensor calibrationproblem before, they will have to o through all the same motions that others did to get to it. it will take multiple trips and alignments maybe.

I will try and go to a lexus dealer known for mod friendly atitude. Just trying to find one in jersey. Any suggestions on decent lexus service centers are appreciated.

They also do all the zero point calibration (Toyota is required to provide all the software and hardware to do this to anyone by law) and I trust them to spend the time to get it right more than I trust any random Lexus/Toyota tech at the dealers'.
They let me stand right by the car as they do it, explain everything to me, and even share stories about the best trails to hit. Because they specialize in lifted applications and Toyotas, they know every vibration story as well as proper alignment for lifted rigs.
When they installed the tires they noticed one of them had excessive road-force so they didn't even bother trying to balance it, just replaced it under warranty (Toyo AT3 285/70/18).

A quick google search shows these as the best places for lifted yotas. I suggest to get familiar with one of them if you're planning on keeping this car / doing any more mods...

edit: Not to diss any toyota/lexus tech, but 90% of their job are oil changes and tire rotations. They do alignments on mostly stock height cars (and mostly cars, not SUVs), they rarely need to do zero point (since they rarely install lifts). A lifted yota shop does it every day, all day.
