A day late and a dollar short. I figured why not start my build thread? Purchased a 2025 Nebula Grey Pearl Premium Plus back at the end of November. This is my wife’s daily driver and our weekend adventure vehicle. I daily a lightly modded 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. As soon as we were locked in with a deposit, I started purchasing what I had set money aside for to that point. Having a 2010 4Runner with some minor upgrades, I had a game plan. First thing first was getting rid of the 20’s I was not a fan of. So tires, wheels, and a lift were placed on order. After looking at Prinsu’s lead times, I knew I needed to get an order placed for a Prinsu Pro roof rack as well. We were able to work with the dealer and slightly change the build spec. Knowing we were going the Prinsu route, we were able to have them remove the factory roof rack from the build as well as some of the smaller items: ball mount, key gloves, all-weather mats (had ordered Weather Tech), and some other smaller items.
I had done quite a bit of research (internet browsing) on the lift that I wanted to install. My initial thought was to replicate what had served us well on the 4Runner, which was the ToyTec Bilstein 5100 3” complete lift. Unfortunately, this was not an option, and knowing that I wanted to do a complete lift, coil overs, control arms, etc., I started searching: OME, Icon, King, etc. After himing and hawing, I landed on something I initially had not planned on: a spacer lift and control arms from Peak Suspension with the plans of purchasing their complete suspension once released. So to date, here’s the adds:
Peak Suspensions Summit 2-piece lift.
Relations Race Wheels RR7-S 17x8.5 +25
Falken Wildpeak AT4w 285/75R17
Prinsu Pro Roof Rack
Cloud Nine Tents Cumulus 3+ tent
After a few weekend adventures, the only thing I wish I had that the OT does and Premium does not is the EKDSS. Next up after a few slippery, rutted-out trails on order is CBI rock sliders. Eventually, bumpers will be as well.
