Remote controller for lights/accessories

Has anyone tried the SPOD (Baja Designs) or Garmin Power Switch to connect lights/accessories into then use the app to control lights? Understand it negates the need to drill holes into the cabin to control light bars, etc.

My mechanic recommended the Trigger 4 Plus kit. I have not installed it yet.

I sure wish someone would make a remote aux switch with the remote powered by a 12V wire instead of a battery. Seems there'd be plenty of 12v power wires and grounds in the dash area to tap into. That way you don't have to worry about replacing batteries. I much prefer to have actual physical switches instead of a phone app. Even if the app is CarPlay/Android Auto compatible a physical switch is nicer (at least to me) than going into the infotainment screen.

I have everything but the roof rack and front bumper to attach the lights to! As soon as those come in, I'll let you know how it goes! It's gotten great reviews

My mechanic recommended the Trigger 4 Plus kit. I have not installed it yet.

I installed it. It was VERY easy. The only downside (so far) is the slight delay between hitting the button on the remote control and getting a response. About 1-2 seconds. Which doesn't sound like a big deal until you're blinding a person driving at you with your roof light bar.
