Another fun meet up with another cool forum member: Isu3gx. We connected at Cerritos Lexus to exchange stories, parts and admire one another’s adds.

Isu3GX’s rig can be spotted anywhere - the old school 1980’s Toyota swish against an 2024 Earth GX is unmistakeable, and a sure sign of an old school Toyota enthusiast.

Isu3GX shared his Toyota / Lexus origins story and his start offroading with his fathers Tundra build and his brothers 100 series. Then settling on a GX 550 in 2024 and enjoying off roading trips across the Western US.

Isu3gx shared a story of a recent harrowing experience on the road between Ouray and Silverton in Colorado this August. Along with 6 other vehicles his GX was caught under a rock side with his rig getting pummeled by rocks… glass spidered and his rig dented my numerous dings and dents. Thankfully, he and his passengers escaped without injury. Now restored to its original glory his GX is ready for its next adventure.

Isu3gx gave me a walk around of his upgrades. One being very cool rear shelf, similar to Victory, and Rago, with hexagonal laser cuts and made by CaTuned.

Another interesting data point from chatting with Cerritos of Lexus sales personnel. They had at least 4 - 2026 GX’s on their lot (3 caviar and 1 atomic silver), with the new 2027’s arriving November 23, 2026.

Cerritos is one of those dealers that upcharges their GX’s significantly. So not surprising to see 4 x 2026’s on their lot.

That being said, cordial and welcoming staff, a nice selection of Lexus swag and bustling service department.
