Thoughts on adding a wireless theft alarm (1 Viewer)

The thread from our buds across the border noting how much of a target the OT is for theft has me thinking a wireless theft gizmo that sends an alarm to my phone might be useful. I don't think I live in a very theft-prone area but I might be more concerned when traveling with gear. I do not really have a good handle on how theft-resistant the new GXs are so I am asking for comments or recommendations from current owners. TY.

I've thought about this, and if I were to get one, I would probably go with Ring. I already use Ring for my house, so it makes sense to use the same for my car.
I haven't used it, but just from some simple research I've done, it seems to fit the bill for me.

I don't have Ring and as I understand it, Ring needs to communicate with a wifi network. Would it still send you an alarm if you were eating at some restaurant on a trip to say, Pittsburgh? I was thinking of a system that would have an effective range of several hundred feet or more.
