Xpel PPF Pre Cut Kits Now Available

Hey @Callabrator. Did you end up DIYing your PPF yet? How did it go? I see the kits now in the search tool: Pre-cut Kit Search but no way to purchase. Where did you get yours?
I ended up going a different direction for a car purchase after waiting for over 1.5 years from putting my name on a list and not not being offered the exact trim + color scheme I wanted.

Regardless, yeah, it seems like XPEL is no longer selling precut kits for any car. 🤷‍♂️ No clue why.

Thanks @Callabrator . Yeah I ended up looking into it a bit more and calling around yesterday. It seems at least in SoCal, a full vehicle Xpel Ultimate Plus wrap is going for about $6500 for bulk installation, and $7500 for pre-cut. That bulk install is barely more than what it would cost to buy the pre-cut sheets at retail price, making pre-cut a nonstarter for me, especially because you would also lose any warranty or support included with a professional job.

I hope you enjoy your new ride, even though we cannot be 550 brothers.

Link doesn't seem to be working. Do these kits offer extra material to tuck the edges? If not, it would be a hard no for me. I always wanted to try doing it myself but there's not time to learn on a brand new car when you just want to get it done and be able to drive it. This would be good for additional body panels you want to add in the future on your own.

Probably moot at this point because they seem to have stopped selling the precut kits to the public, but the kit I got from Xpel.com for a previous car did not have wrapped edges.

But prior to that, the Xpel kit I got from DriveProtected.com for a different car (no longer sells precut kits for anything other than Teslas🤷‍♂️) had wrapped edges. This whole industry seems pretty anti-diy tbh...
