I just got the Wescott collar lift kit installed. Shop also did an alignment. Drives great, so far no noticeable difference in ride or handling. Very minor, but the difference in suspension feel between “comfort” and “normal” avs settings is a bit less noticeable. Will be getting 275/70’s on...
I have a very noticeable rattle in the area. I would not describe it as metallic, might be different than what yours is. I can stop it when I press on the seatbelt up/down adjustment button when I travel over bumpy roads, so I'm pretty sure that is the source of my noise.
Glad that is working out for you. Also going with the 275/70/18 Toyo AT3 on stock rims when I replace the factory (20,000 miles now). Initially I was concerned at the E-rating but feedback from others seems to support to noticeable impact on ride quality.
If there is future software update, I wonder if this occurs remotely or if it will require a visit to the dealership. A friend with a new Tundra told me he had his truck into the toyota dealership (no shifting issues)for routine service maintenance and they "reflashed" his transmission software...
I'm always getting flashed by oncoming traffic so I would be concerned about going brighter. I would actually prefer a less bright headlight but a different projection pattern (such as a higher cut-off). In your case maybe an auxiliarly light that can be turned on/off when ongoing traffic...
