P. 186 of the 2024 OM. 9% to 11% of the trailer weight. So nominally 900lb.
I, personally, would cut that in half for a load like a bike rack or hitch carrier. Unless something is wrong, a trailer doesn’t really change the load on the ball as you go down the road.
A motorcycle bouncing up...
Hi, I kept the factory AT-III in the spare location. I need every bit of clearance when I hit the trails and 285/70-18 is an inch wider so it would have an inch less clearance in the back.
I have the 285/70-18 AT4W on factory OT wheels. At 7.5” wide the factory wheels are right at the minimum approved wheel width (7.5” - 9.5” is the approved range for Falken). No rub. I chose to keep the factory 33” spare under my GX. While the AT4W might have fit in the space, it would have...
I have C-Load AT4W LT on mine. They are a little louder, a little more jittery, and much heavier. With your priority on NVH and fuel economy SL is the right answer all day long.
I swapped my AT-III for AT4W at 12K miles. My math expected ~25K/maybe 30K absolute maximum service life from the factory tires.
I very much was impressed by the quietness and ride of the factory tires and absolutely am of the opinion Lexus had them optimized for nice ride and to be quiet at...
I can give you a partial insight on the AT4W. I went from the factory Toyo AT-III to the AT4W in 285/70-18 LT. These Falcon are still a C-Load rating, but an LT (light truck) tire with 3-ply sidewall and still have a 3MP snow rating.
Regarding the factory AT-III. They ride amazingly well...
Hood flutter and brake squeak have active TSB. Unfortunately don’t have specific number handy.
I would call ahead and ask your dealer if they have parts on hand or what the availability is.
For brakes parts were quickly available and I kept their service loaner an extra 2 days when I got my...
FYI on my OT speedo and 285/70-18 AT4w. GPS verified that the speedo now reads ~3% under with brand new tires. In numbers, 75mph indicated is 77/78mph actual.
When delivered with OEM tires speedo and GPS were spot on.
I have played with the MTS and will play with it more. Thus far found no magic in MTS.
Crawl control and especially the down hill descent, on the other hand is wicked good. Provided there is traction to be had, of course.
My 2024 OT with 2025 springs also got Falken AT4w yesterday in 285/70-18 load range c. No rubbing in forward/reverse or when turning forward/reverse. Has a finger width of clearance with the fender liner with wheel turned left or right.
Have not stuffed a wheel, but expect it will work out...
