Just did my second oil change today at 2700 miles. When I picked up my plates from my dealer I had 1000 miles and had them do an oil change. A couple observations - 1) I agree the dipstick is a real dipstick - twists and turns and you have to bend it while pulling up otherwise it hits the hood...
My wife almost never drives my GX. So far I haven't had any problems with it. Sounds like there might be an occasional bug. I always lock my GX, even in the garage, so maybe that's the difference?
As far as what memory settings are used when you get in the GX, I'm not sure. On the couple of...
My VIN is after the one listed in the TSB. I do have some hood flutter, but it's minor and doesn't bother me so maybe they did do something in production to help with that.
I spent yesterday playing with some Jeeps at my local off-road park. Given my OT+ is still stock - no lift and stock Toyo "33"s - it did really well. It's going to be a while, but eventually I'd like to get a 2" lift, 35"s, and metal front and rear bumpers. We'll see what the next couple...
eKDSS does not disconnect the sway bar. What it does is relocate the point (rear) or points (front) that the sway bar connects to the frame. This allows one side of the front or rear to droop while the other side compresses, or vice-versa , without twisting the sway bar. But if the fuse is...
Just to be clear, it appears some Overtrails are worse than others. For me, it's hardly ever happens. Only on two or three sections of road that I've driven on for about 50 feet on each section. The other 1,500 miles I've put on my OT+ have been chatter free.
The short answer is "No", the drive is not that bad. My GX doesn't pull. I've driven 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton trucks. The GX rides slightly better than my old 1/2 ton truck, and noticeably better than my old 3/4 ton truck. My old Macon and my wife's current X5 drive way way way better. The GX...
A little history lesson on the Land Cruiser that I found interesting, along with conclusions regarding the new Land Cruiser vs. the new GX that I agree with completely.
I would certainly expect so, assuming you didn't enter into a contract with your dealer when you signed up that stated otherwise. Best to reach out to your sales associate and get the answers to where you are on the wait list and how long it should be.
No idea, Sewell Lexus up here in Dallas seems like they get 10 - 12 allocations a month. Maybe a little more. At least that what it looked like a few months ago when I was paying attention. That is, a few months ago before I got my GX. :)
Agreed - the view made it easy to place the GX and the camera screen was also very helpful in knowing exactly where the wheel were in respect to any rocks or holes.
I have minor hood flutter too. But it's not enough to annoy me. Honestly I only notice it when I'm looking for it so I'm not too worried about trying to find a fix. I suspect any trim tool would be good enough to pop those button clips but I haven't done that myself.
