You can still tell a Lux plus because the retracted running boards sit flush under the body. The fixed ones are very obvious and the two don’t look anything alike.
Here’s a base Luxury, notice the silver on the running board;
Here’s a Lux plus, see how the board is all black and sits up...
It’s easy. Premium has dark wheels and no fog lights, Premium plus wheels have the brushed accents and fog lights. Overtrail will have matte window surrounds, Overtrail plus will have glossy. Luxury will have the 22in wheels with fixed running boards, Luxury plus will have retractable running...
Lol good catch. My dislexia just super imposed March 2024 for some reason. 12 a day is way below what they can make, production is closer to 700 at Tahara from a video I watched. I think that has to be a typo though. The GX 550 wasn’t out in May of 2023… the first units were in December 2023:
The answer would be no. Recalls are tightly controlled by the feds so proper notices and documentation needs to be filed. As of right now nobody with a build date after 4/10 will be included. It could always be expanded later however.
Would be interesting to see if you do it. I've found those by poking around other models at the dealership and via pictures. Most of those are very subtle and wouldn't be noticed, like the cupholders. Very minor and kind of strange they would even do that
OT + for instance:
Regular OT:
Based on the recall sheet they are recalling 3800 GX's made between May 31 and April 10. So in a period of 11 days that's 345 GX's a day out of Tahara, in addition to the other Toyota and Lexus models rolling out of the plant that don't use the V35.. I doubt they are storing 10's of thousands of...

So based on this it seems like engines made after this period and up to when an improvement in the main bearing was implemented remain under investigation. I didn't see a mention...
My 25 Overtrail has single pane front windows. Every other trim except for the base Premium has dual pane acoustic side windows. All trims have acoustic windshields.
It’s not listed in the spec sheet because it’s a minor difference just like every trim that’s not the Premium or base Overtrail...
It depends if your engine has failed yet or not. A neighbor of mine had a Tundra with a failed engine and he was in various rentals for nearly 8 months waiting on the replacement. He just got his Tundra back about a month ago.
They officially announced the recalls for the Tundras and LX's in February and May of 2024. By June of 2024 they had started the warranty replacement engines. Maybe I'm just super naive but I find it hard to believe that they'd continue to pump out new engines that had problems after the issue...
