I changed mine to this The factory one doesn’t project anything, it’s just a regular old light. I’d ask the dealer to replace yours with the factory light if you don’t like it.

I had to remove my overtrail roof rail on my passenger side, when taking out the six bolts from the factory I noticed there was a little bit of red on the bolt threads. The bolts weren't hard to remove, so I don't think it was thread locker. I put everything back the same way and torqued them...
