picked up my vehicle from the dealer after dropping it in to complain about the poor ML sound in the rear and now I see this “Accessory” displayed on the screen which I don’t remember seeing before. Anyone have an idea what this is?

That’s accessory power.
It’s an electrical mode between off, and ignition on.
Like in an older car where you turn the key one click but not 2.
It will let you use 12v power in the cigarette lighter etc. without powering up the cars full systems and hvac etc.

Aaah - makes sense now. I had it in ON mode without starting the vehicle. Thank you Killy!
The silly thing is the Accessory mode won't let you operate the power windows. One has to push the ignition ON mode and then the windows will operate. If is near or past dusk, then the lights will come on and stay on till one opens the door..
