Any chance the old 5.7 will drop into the GX 550, is it possible? (4 Viewers)

Short of with money everything is possible mentality. We know for a fact that the frame structure of the LC250 and LC200 are difference. Even if the engine may fit. All the peripherals might not. It is not like replacing a 4.6 LC200's engine with 5.7 as the frame at least would accommodate.

Thank you. This is the answer I was seeking. I’m totally clear on “with enough money…” anything is possible. I was wondering if that could be a solution if the 4.6 is an epic failure. I would hate to pay $90,000 and it be held up for months waiting on a fix. Even though I’m paying cash and have other cars to drive, that would flat out suck.

Actually, I just remembered, in overseas market, the LC300 is offered with the 4.0 1GR-FE engine. Considering the structural similarities, it is probably possible to swap the V35A with 1GR. However, it is underpowered for sure but nothing can beat 1GR's longevity.
