With the popularity of the GX550, what an awkward position to have to decide on a vehicle without seeing it in person. The dealer called last night with the latest allocation list and the one closest to what I want is a Midnight Mica (blue) with the saddle tan interior. I'm looking for opinions on this color combination as I have not been able to actually look at a GX with this configuration.

I have learned a lot on this forum and appreciate any feedback. TIA

I saw one in person back in January at the dealership. Opinions on color are very subjective, but I didn't like it. It was darker than pictures online would suggest and something about the color seemed to make the orange peel effect more visible.

I've never seen the Midnight Mica blue in person but I think it looks awesome in the pictures I've seen. I wish it was an option on the Overtrail.

My wife and I personally love this combination and will be getting a Luxury+ in this configuration next month. I saw one in the showroom and it is stunning. Can't wait to get ours.

I saw that metallic blue color on the road the other day. It is incredible. With saddle interior it'll be the bomb.

My wife's X7 is in a similar color combination - very dark blue (almost black) with saddle interior. Looks awesome.

I have a 911 in midnight blue metallic - what I love about the color is that it can go from black to blue to purple depending on light - the blue on the lexus looks very similar where your not quite sure it is blue until you walk up to it.

Same here man, the saddle is a great color! The chateau isn't bad but I'm wondering how it's going to show dirt and mud.

Thanks for all the replies and pictures. Other than trying to keep it clean, I think the color combination is going to be great. It should arrive in about 4 weeks and I'm very excited.

I saw one in person and it looked pretty awesome. Color is selective so weigh your decision on color vs a longer wait. For me I got a color that I didn't particularly like (Incognito) but its growing on me and I love having the truck.
