Hi everyone! Quick heads up: We are currently planning to develop several accessories for the GX550/LC250 platform and are working on becoming an official forum sponsor soon. Before finalizing our design, we’d love to get some early community feedback on a new concept!
We also design accessories for the Land Rover Defender and have always loved its clean, integrated onboard air setup. So we decided to port the exact same air compressor unit used on the Defender over to the GX550/LC250 platform!
Installation logic:
The main bracket mounts securely behind the rear quarter panel using bolts. You trim a section of the interior panel, bolt the bracket in place, and reinstall the panel. Only the clean, flush-fit control module shows on the outside.
Compared to traditional engine bay mounts, this offers a super clean, factory (OEM+) finished look without any aftermarket DIY feel.
Would you be open to trimming a section of your rear panel for a flush, Defender-style setup like this, or do you prefer keeping the compressor under the hood? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
