Got my Westcott designs preload collars a couple of months ago and finally put them on today. They don’t have an install video through Westcott (or anyone else) but I used the land cruiser one Wescott has as back up.
I did mine with a floor jack and jack stands in my driveway.
If anyone is doing the same and has any questions I’m happy to help. It is almost the same as Landcruiser except the sway bar prevents you from sliding the coil over off at the bottom mount. I battled with this for a while but got it done.
I decided to stick with the Premium+ stock 20” wheels but will end up painting all black.
Went with Goodyear Wrangler ATs 275/60r 20 (33” height 10.8 width 20” wheel) I think they look great and they are quiet at any speed. (Didn’t have to remove anything and zero rubbing)

Hahaha…Make sure the sunroof is closed and covered. Yeah I’ll be ditching the rack that’s for sure, the thing screams at highway speed! Thanks buddy! it took longer than expected, but was worth it. The ride is same as stock which I love!

Looks great!! I could never take on a project like that. I agree with the roof rack comments. I took mine off the first week. No noise and better milage.

Looks awesome. Would love to know any tips you learned to make the rear install easier

Looking to buy a jack with stands. What height is your floor jack and stands? The Toyota guys were recommending either 17" or 20".

How long did this take you to do?

Not OP but I just tackled this yesterday on my Overtrail+. Having some experience wrenching with my previous 4Runner I went into this somewhat confident. The Overtrail has some wiring for the front suspension that takes extra time. Took a good 4 hours to do this with on the ground with jacks and jackstands. I followed the Westcott videos but for the rear shocks I removed the bottom bolt instead of the top like the video says. Rears are very easy to do. I did have to jack the driver side kdss rear sway bar end back up to get it back into position. When I disconnected it from the passenger side the sway bar just drooped down. Just wanted to mention some things that aren't mentioned for the Overtrail models for any future DIYers.

Thanks for the detailed response! I’m confident I can do this too. I’ve done so much on a 4Runner never did suspension but CV axles, water pumps, master brake cylinder, caliperrs, rotors etc. I’m gonna give it a go!

Also, where did you find torque specs? I’m new to Lexus forum.

I searched all over and could not find any information for the GX550 platform. I marked all bolts/nuts prior to taking off with a orange paint marker (OE used yellow so did not want to get confused). For all the big bolts I tightened as hard as I could by hand and they all ended up within the original markings. I plan on going over them again in the next week or two to make sure everything is still tight. Still need to get an alignment also. Probably later this week after I install my new wheels and tires. Good luck!

I figured! Nail polish or paint marker is the way! Sweet, nice work. I will tackle this next week. Thanks again
