I have the Luxury+ and change the drive modes using the knob on the dashboard. Below that is a drive mode push button with a green light. Does anyone know what pushing that button does?

The knob will just cycle through drive modes on regular GX trims like yours (Premium, Luxury). On the Overtrails, there is additionally an MTS and DAC/crawl button there. For them, pressing MTS will then use the knob to cycle through MTS modes. Same with DAC/crawl.

So in your case, pressing drive mode won’t do anything since it’s basically perma-selected.

I have '25 Lux+ and have noticed that the Drive Mode button does nothing. The Owner's Manual clearly says: "Press the DRIVE MODE switch. The indicator on the switch will turn on." Since taking delivery, the light has always remained on even after pressing several times. It doesn't matter what mode I am in, the light remains on. Selecting Normal doesn't turn the light off either. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Just read my earlier response since it’s the same question as OP.

When “drive mode” is selected, that is what the mode select dial above it will control when you turn it. If you have one of the Overtrails, you can choose drive mode, MTS, or DAC/Crawl, and whatever is selected will be what the mode select switch cycles through.

On Premium and Luxury lines (yours), there are not these extra MTS/crawl modes that can be cycled through, so the only time drive mode won’t be selected is when you’re in 2nd Start mode (ECT 2nd button) or Tow/Haul mode.

OK, thanks for the information about this. I'll press ECT 2nd, and see what happens.

Is there a way to make the drive mode stick to what was selected last instead of reverting back to eco mode at every start?

I don't think mine reverts back, maybe "eco" mode is somehow saved to your profile/key fob, look into the settings menu possibly...
