I’ve heard different responses from different dealer's sales people as to which trim lines are and are not being build. The timeline for this is over the last four months, mid March through end of June, 2025:
“There are six trim lines, but they’re only building three.”
“Sometimes the base trims are available, sometimes, mostly not.” Further explanation, the person was referring to the OT, Premium and Luxury as the base lines, and the OT+, Premium+ and Luxury+ as the much more available offerings.
“They were building the Luxury line but they aren’t right now.” This was the most recent conversation. A sales person blurted it out after looking around on his inventory screens for a few minutes and making one phone call (that may have been just for show). I sensed some frustration on his part and so I have a suspicion wanted to turn the conversation to “shut up already and just tell me what you want to buy!”
Yet I have seen some plain Luxury models (not Luxury+) listed. I saw two last week located on the US East Coast, somewhere in NC. This week, today, neither one shows (lexus.com). Factoring in sales people's generalizations intended to get you to buy something now rather than later, I'm inclined to believe, for the Luxury/Luxury+ trims, that plain Luxury trim models are hard to find but are not entirely zero.
I'm looking for either recent experience, or actual hard facts.
