Our OT+ has developed an exhaust rattle that we only hear at low RPM when that RPM is held. It does it in all drive modes and is definitely from the rear muffler area. I've inspected and there is nothing loose externally. Pretty easy fix but just curious if anyone else's is doing this?

This is still pretty bad on ours. Considering a catback or removing rear muffler. It's not so much a rattle but more of a buzz or harmonic resonance at low rpm. Goes away when you get up in the rpm range. Maybe something inside the rear muffler maybe. Anyone else have this?

Anyone try the NYTOP GX 550 resonator delete? Is it loud? Does it drone?

Considering this or just cutting out rear resonator and replacing with something else.

I haven't tried it (picking my GX up tomorrow) but it appears MagnaFlow has a system for the GX. I saw it on the MagnaFlow website.

Soooo...

About 7k miles on the truck and the buzzing sound is still there. Right between 1250 and 1400 rpm, any driving mode. Still sounds like harmonic resonance but can't isolate where it's coming from. I crawled under and checked everything again today. Nothing loose. Nothing rubbing. Messed with heat shield, add felt wedges around the heat shield and it's still there. It really sound like it's inside the exhaust system, very weird. I wish I could swing the NYTOP muffler delete and I may just do it since nothing else is out yet.

Dealership was no help on two occasions telling me to record it.

I think I'm gonna disconnect the rear piping just after the main muffler and pull that whole section out and see if it goes away.

It's definitely coming from that rear driver side area.

I'll report back. Can't believe I'm the only post about this. If this works, I will have a shop cut the rear muffler out and just dump it lol.

Hey what did you find on this?

What did you find in this? While driving I get a faint buzz sound coming which feels like it’s possibly exhaust related. Droning sound but it’s not metal on metal. Like a fan drone/buzzing faintly. Wouldn’t describe as a “rattling”

Have 7k miles on mine going to the dealer checkin tomorrow so hopefully find something

Moved the heat shield back as much as I could the other day but didn't change anything. The buzz is still there. Still want to disconnect the exhaust outlet after the big primary muffler and drive it but haven't done that yet. Let me know what you find out. Thanks

Sadly my appointment had to be moved to next Friday so another week of waiting. I’ll let you know. It’s nearly constant now while driving once warmed up.

I have this now too. 2700 miles.

Sorry others are experiencing this. Super annoying. Hopefully we can get it solved. We started noticing it intermittently at about 1-2k miles. Mostly just when turning at low speed o in a fast food lane. Our old 4rumner had a similar issue and it ended up being the resonator. This is still why I think the NY Top resonator delete might he a good solution that I still might try.

Just received my OT+ glad I'm not the only one with this noise. Ive noticed as well at slow speeds. Kids in the car today noticed it first.

I’ve been to the dealer three times for this issue now. They’ve replaced the spoiler and rear light assembly and the issue persists. Lexus has told them the drone is characteristic of the exhaust but I think the exhaust design needs some work.

Yikes, three times. I've asked service mgr. about twice with no luck when I had it in for seat massager and then brakes. I moved the heat shields around a bit (bent them various ways) and its not as buzzy as it was but can still replicate the noise if I really try by holding the pedal position at low steady rpm. I can drive without really hearing it all by how I am using the pedal. Still though, I know its there and I do believe it is something with the exhaust or heat shield setup. We are very close to pulling the trigger on the Magnaflow catback and then doing a the VF tune. Maybe that will solve it lol.

Does anyone have any new news on the buzzing sound? I visited my dealer 2 times and they replaced the rear taillight assembly but the noise is back. Too much cash to spend to not have this properly repaired.
