GX Running Board Replacement

Hello, I have been working on replacing my Premium Plus running boards. Got the Lexus regular running boards, not in love, little too much plastic for me. So question is: can any of you off-roaders/smart people give me the brand name of a company that produces high quality running boards, ideally metal. I am kind of an OEM kind of a guy, but not opposed to putting on some nice running boards from a well-respected manufacturer. I was considering the Lexus Rock rails, but have read that they are not great as a step. If I can get a few brand names, then I can research style, fit, etc. Thanks for your help!

My OT came with the Lexus rock rails. They are appropriately stout for rock rail purposes. You read correctly and I can confirm they don’t work as a step.

I have ordered Dissent Offroad’s combination step/slider. I don’t have them yet, but will post up once received and installed.

I have the westcott rock rails on mine with steps and the rear kickout. I'm pretty happy with them. Gives more protection and also is more functional for getting in and out of the car. The stock running boards can be stupid slippery when wet and I'm not having the problem with the westcott rails. Also the larger step in the rear definitely helps the kids get in and out of the rear.
