Heat/vent issues (1 Viewer)

I recently purchased a GX 550 Overtrail Plus and am having trouble with the heating system. It doesn’t seem to blow enough air, the heated seats don’t get very warm, and it takes a long time for the car to heat up. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced these issues and if Lexus was able to resolve them.

Definitely use the remote start option to help pre-heat in cold weather.

The climate control system in this truck is abysmal. I can have the temp set to 61F with S-Flow off, recirc forced off and A/C forced off and it will be blowing 90F air. None of the auto modes make a difference and I've tried every combination with recirc and A/C as well. There is a major flow with this system, not to mention I can barely feel the heated seats and the steering wheel heat cuts out every 10 minutes or so then magically turns back on even though the icon is showing two red bars. Makes no sense at all. 25' Overtrail.

I run with S-Flow and Climate Concierge on all the time, but with ECO off. I have a July 2025 production Lux+ with the Cold Weather package, which includes the fast-response heater. I normally set the climate control to 70F with everything on auto, including AC and recirc, and am usually driving by myself.

I can say this vehicle warms up and blows hot air faster than any other car I've ever owned. After fully cold-soaking for several nights at ~30F in my garage, I can get lukewarm air blowing after about 2 minutes, and my cabin will be stuffy hot after maybe 3-4 minutes on the highway.

The heated seats are pretty lukewarm, but I don't mind because it warms my seats up to body temp, rather than egg-frying temp, and that's how I prefer it anyway.

Hi cmfhsu-
Any issues with too much heat once everything warms up, if you move your temp select to something less than 70 degrees?

Yes, intermittently. Really not sure why.

It seems to be worst when the ambient temperature is in the "in between" 40-65F range. When it's really cold or really hot, the climate control seems to work as I expect.

I've also been getting into the habit of turning AC to "forced off" mode (grey blip above the A/C indicator) in the winter. It seems to maybe help avoid the overheating issue sometimes, but it's really hard to tell.

Same experience here. I may have posted about it elsewhere. Seems like after a certain time on the road (30 plus minutes), the auto heat goes from hot to the actual temp on the dial, say 62 degrees or so. The drive time seems to be the only common denominator in my intermittent overly hot heat issue.
