Hello everyone - I am a soon to be "new owner" of a GX 550 Overtrail (I think it is a +) - waiting for delivery between last week of January and first week of February. Thought I would join the forum and read through all the good things of a GX 550 as well as some issues the vehicle has, as with any other first year vehicle, might have. So far, I have learned about squeaking brakes, "clunky" downshifting, and potential gas mileage issues.
I traded in a '22 4Runner Limited for this new GX so I am looking for high quality, great features and great ride. This OT will not be going off-road anytime soon though. Maybe some gravel but I won't be balancing the vehicle on three wheels.
I appreciating hear through the forum all comments on the vehicles. I think my first learning curve will be how to use the big screen in the middle of the dash. I live within a mile of Costco so I'm close to reasonable cheap gas and I guess the GX burns Premium gas. If anyone doesn't, let me know how the engine gets along on a middle grade gas. I never do "regular" unleaded, 88 oct.
