I have to get through the waitlist process at Sewell Lexus here in Dallas, but then in 6-12 months my new GX 550 Luxury Plus should be here. I'm a senior driver moving from my Gen 2 Raptor I also waited for in 2017. Going to Raptor School was fun but honestly the only time I would go off road was when there was a traffic jam on the freeway. I received tons of compliments on my truck but it's time to embrace getting into a vehicle I can park easily, yet still traverse the few bumpy roads that I travel in my retirement . I also like the collapsible third row of seats for our growing number of grandkids. I also look forward to going back to a Dealership I can trust. Ford's DFW dealerships leave a lot to be desired and weighed heavy in my decision to go with the Lexus. I also looked at the Ram RHO, GMC Hummer, GLS 450 and Cayenne. Looking at numerous variables, Lexus GX550 was the ideal choice even though I now get to wait up to a year to get it. In the meantime I look forward to learning from all of you how to get the most enjoyment out of this very exceptional vehicle.
