How to Remove Lux+ OEM Roof Rack? (Non-OT rack) (2 Viewers)

Hi All

Anyone have instructions for how to remove the factory non-OT roof rack?

I got the side cover off, but which bolts remove the rack mount from the rails? Is it the two silver hex head bolts (circled in yellow in my pic) or the T40 Torx bolt (circled in red)? If the T40torx, how in the world do you fit a tool in there, the only T40torx I can find is to long by itself to fit the wrench on it, and it’s not a hex head, it’s round.

Having a tuxedo wrap done on Monday so need to get the rack off this weekend.

Thx. Back to the hardware store I go. Hopefully I can find a Torx L-shaped key that I can get enough leverage on. PITA.

Yeah, it's just the 4 Torx bolts, and I think I was able to get mine off either using a hex key or an open-ended wrench on my T40 bit. They weren't on there very tight.

Also, just a heads up that the roof rack is heavier than you might think!
