Own an OT and looking for after market accessory suggestions to increase interior storage options. I purchased the handy tray for the top of the cooler box -- which works great. I am hoping to get suggestions for any type of interior storage. One issue in particular is that the cup holders and door well storage are not large enough to fit my water bottles. Would be great to find an aftermarket solution.

Thanks!

Where did you find a tray for the cool box?

Just picked up my gx, shame about the storage, they missed a lot of opportunities for storage. Anyone else have any ideas?

I have one of these to hold my large water bottle. I am pretty sure you can fit two since they can be offset from the center.

I had the same issue looking for more and better organized storage. After a few trials and errors, I bought the side molle panels and shelf from Rago. Then found another panel for the top from Walmart if you can believe it. They fit perfectly together. The Walmart os el was much cheaper but still solid quality. Love having all my emergency stuff as well as road trip mounted permanently, and it doesn’t take away any storage that I normally use.

Can you share what part is from Walmart, I'm not tracking from the picture. Thank you for sharing the rago info.

Molle panels and shelves are great for quick-access gear, but if you want to completely eliminate trunk chaos and hide the visual clutter, especially on road trips, a modular drawer system is a game changer for the GX platform.

If you are looking for clean interior storage ideas, we actually offer two different configurations depending on your travel style:
  • Full-Size Storage System: A deep, spacious drawer setup designed to maximize packing volume. It is ideal for hiding away large recovery tools, camp kitchen gear, and heavy equipment under a solid top platform.
  • Slim Platform System: A low-profile, sleek option that preserves maximum headroom in your trunk. It gives you a flat surface to mount a fridge or tie down bins while still providing a streamlined pull-out space for essential tools.
Here is how we approach overall organization at Wheels Feels:
  • 100% Bolt-On Install (No Drilling): We know nobody wants to drill holes into a GX interior. Our setups are precision-engineered to mount directly into the preexisting factory cargo tie-down points using stock bolts, keeping your ride completely pristine.
  • Flush, Rattle-Free Fit: We use high-precision 3D scanning for each specific vehicle model to ensure the side wings and main unit sit completely flush against the trim with zero rattles on rough trails.
  • Premium Stealth Look: The top platform is fully carpet-lined to match the OEM interior look. When the trunk is closed, all your expensive gear, recovery tools, or camp kitchen setups are hidden away from plain sight.
  • Heavy-Duty Utility: Industrial-grade locking drawer slides and modular dividers so you can organize everything from tools to your trail lunch without gear sliding around every time you hit a bump.
We have been building these in Houston, Texas, specifically for overlanding and road trip rigs. It is definitely worth considering if you want a rock-solid, seamless layout that preserves your SUV’s daily functionality.

I went with molle panels for fly fishing trips and back country emergencies. Love this system. I looked at those built in sliding drawers but when I need more room for big items, that system just doesn’t work for me.

So I needed a temporary box for the rear cargo area for the its and bits I pick up running errands, window cleaning stuff on a longer drive, even a 5 gallon fuel jug to haul from the gas station to the hunting lease. After a year it's still back there, bungeed to the cargo hooks on one side.
It's far from elegant, but if you just need something quick, the plastic crates from any big box store are cheap, quick, and easy. And I can remove it and throw it on a shelf when needed.
