Is it a quiet highway cruiser?

But if wind noise due to shape but otherwise yes the sound isolation in the cabin is very good

You'll only get wind noise from the roof area. It is very good at keeping road noise out from other cars and the literal road/ground.

Depends what the baseline for quiet is. Compared to an LS600 it's loud.
Compared to a Civic it's absolutely dead silent.

I would assume the roof rack is quieter than with roof rack. We have the factory roof rack and you definitely get a wind whistle from it. Luckily, it does not bother me.

As mentioned above, it depends on your perspective.

Coming from a Yukon Denali XL - it rides like a farm wagon :)

Mostly kidding. It is reasonably quiet but the ride on my OT+ is a little rough and jarring for the 1st 1/2" of suspension travel.
Handles the big bumps and pot holes quite well.

The ride is not terrible for a frame on Medium / Large SUV and the Toyo III's don't help anything but I honestly would not call it a
luxurious Lexus like vehicle - especially compared to the big American offerings.

Despite this glowing recommendation - I still love it.

We came from a 21 GV80, and as lux as that is, our GX is in fact quieter, especially after we removed the cross rails.

Jesus what kind of highway driving are you on that you are running your suspension to the bump stops.

We changed from luxury wheels/tires to Overtrail wheels/tires. There is definitely more road noise on the highway. Not too bad but some.

I just drove out from Southwest Colorado to Richmond VA. I have an over trail with the standard tires.
I would say it’s pretty quiet, but not ultra quiet at the speech I was driving. I was doing a lot of mid 80s speed, and other slower speeds depending on city interstates highway, traffic, etc. I can give you more opinion if you’d like once I get my reading glasses back and I’m finished getting this oil and filter changed. Just let me know and I can give you more today. Good luck

It's not ultra silent, from an overall db level it's pretty quiet but there's definitely wind noise at higher speeds which bothers people who are sensitive to it and tire noise depending on your choice of tire.

I just drive slow these days since I've got younger kids and am past my sports car phase :)
