Had a bad experience with Martin at Lexus of Escondido. At time of deposit, discussed MSRP. Now they are stating that they will not sell car without numerous dealer installed options. Very disappointed. Thread is just to notify others of what they initially say and what they actually do.

Unbelievable! The dealership dashcam for the GX from the build option cost $375. They’re asking for $2500!!!

What add-ons are they trying to get you to buy? I had a deposit down with them and was also told it would be at MSRP, but ended up getting my deposit back when I found one sooner in LA

They tried getting me for $2K for ceramic coating, $2K for Windshield protection (when the windshields are on back order and can't even fix them if I needed them to), and $500 for 3M Edge guard. These DIO were not negotiable. If you wanted a car from them. It's a business and I understand. However, don't tell your customers one thing at the time of deposit and then do something else when your car comes in. Stay away from these guys. Just imagine what that relationship will be when you take your car for service. They started the relationship with a lie, and will continue.
