I was looking on line at the Yakima “MOD” system, as well as the “ADGU” products and a random product came up in my search: a set of lockable metal drawers at Home Depot - utilized for tools, and intended to be installed on a 4 ft metal shelving units.

I couldn’t help but scratch my head .. and ask … could drawer unit be improvised and used by GX owners or by other SUV’s owners, for that matter, as inexpensive alternative for use as cargo area drawers.

$249 dollars … (very affordable) - I will need to measure and see if it’s feasible.

The cargo area on my Overtrail is a maximum width between the wheel wells (the narrowest point) of 43 inches.....maybe 43.25 inches could wedge in there. The depth, front to back, with the rear seats folded, is 44 inches max.

That drawer is showing as 44 x 19" so it's fine on depth (not even half as much space available) but maybe 0.75" too wide.

So the wings look like they may possibly be removable- and in worst case possibly “cuttable”

Does your 44 inch width take those wings into consideration?
