Greetings from New York! I’m the proud owner of a 2025 Lexus GX550 Overtrail+, and I’m excited to be part of the GX community.
I currently own two SUVs:
A 2021 Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe
And now, the GX550 Overtrail+
A while back, I actually tried to turn my Cayenne into a full off-road build. But the amount of custom work and research it required eventually made me rethink the plan. Now, with the GX550, I finally feel like I have the right platform for adventure — straight from the factory.
Right now, I’m in the middle of installing a Sherpa roof rack and a 48-inch Novsight light bar. I’ll be documenting everything as I go — from wiring to mounting to functionality — and I plan to share all my findings with the community to help others who are on the same path.
