New GX pickup checklist (2 Viewers)

I am picking up a new OT this weekend. My first Lexus and I am excited. It has some optional add ons like the rock rails, roof racks etc. Are these usually installed at the dealer? I would rather have them not install the roof rack for now if it's dealer installed.
Is there a checklist for a new car pickup that I should go through?
Are folks generally 'breaking in' their new GX?

Exciting times. Those listed add-ons are installed at the port so they will be installed before it gets to the dealer.

I would make sure they walk you through the Lexus app account setup and do a general review of the car. Sometimes there are issues with the paint on or around the hood from transport. Look at the finish from multiple angles.

Easy acceleration and though you don't want the RPM's too high, try to vary the rpm's while driving. If you do your own service, change your oil out at 500 and 5,000 miles. A divisive topic on the internet, but it's cheap insurance if you can do the service yourself.

If the center screen looks hazy, there still might be a very thin sheet of plastic on the screen. Use packing tape on a corner to see if anything lifts up. LOL

Thank you, I am pretty excited. My first full body of frame truck too. I'll make sure to do a full oil change at 500 miles - probably would help flush some machining debris if there is any. Would the OT version have digital key paired to the app on the phone?

Tell them not to drill the front plate onto the bumper …. I hate that they do that
