Anyone else having this problem. As you can see from the picture the circled area should have illuminated buttons for the front and rear defroster along with the volume knob. Don’t really want to have the dealer disassemble the dash to fix this.

Weird reccomendation... But are your cars lights on?

Have had that happen to me before, brightness can be tied to your headlight switch.

Mine are illuminated midday with lights off, not even DRL. Maybe its a setting thing tho

Mine do not illuminate either. I also have no lighting on my levers for wipers and lights. Video I watched on youtube the reviewer makes a point to show they do.

They don’t illuminate under any conditions. Nigh, day, lights on or off.

My backlit controls for defrosters and volume, along with the LHS memory seat and instrument cluster dimmer appear when you first unlock the doors and seem to be tied to the DRLs. If you don't start the vehicle, they do go dark after ~10 seconds and I hear a relay click off. But they remain on during rest of the time, day or night driving conditions. I think your issue needs to be elevated with a trip to the service desk. Let us know how you make out.
