OT+ with Land Cruiser FE roof rack (1 Viewer)

Has any OT owner added the LC FE roof rack? Everything I’ve read indicates that that roof rack is compatible with the GX OT. I like how it looks on the LC and I would prefer that on my near future OT+. It runs around $1100 with shipping at a number of online retailers offering it. If my OT+ comes with the Lexus roof rack, then I will be taking it off to replace with the LC version.

I recall seeing a photo in a post on facebook showing that the front wind deflector hits the giant glass sunroof, if your truck is equipped with that sunroof.

hardly anyone says the LC one is bad compared to the GX roof rack. Yes, it will fit. on the GX except for the slight issue if you have a LUX + with the large panoramic roof. Victory4x4 has a short rack as well that costs much less than the LC rack.

The short racks are great - I had a short rack on my old 2004 Land Rover Discovery. I'd actually prefer a short rack now but I have to be able to carry a full-size extension ladder once in a blue moon. It's also kind of nice to have all the roof carrying space you could ever want.

Yes, I have one on mine. It looks badass on the GX. This roof rack should've come with the OT+. Hardly noticeable extra wind noise above 75ish-80mph. Super quiet below 70 mph. Definitely recommend. Only downside is that there is currently a 4-6 month backorder for them.

How does this fit with the sharkfin antenna? Does the rack cover the antenna? If so, does it interfere with the operation of that antenna?

Yes, there is a plastic shield that covers and protects the antenna. Doesn't interfere with reception.

Roof Rack - Toyota (PT970-60241)​

yes, that is the correct part number. I have that and also an extra cross bar. For some crazy reason this rack omits a cross bar that is at the rear of the rack. There is an obvious space for it and also the T30 screws already in the frame for it. The cross bar part # is same but has the letters CB after it: PT970-60241-CB. I could not buy the cross bar online since it is on back order, so I went to my local Toyota dealer and they purchased, only took 2 days to get. I'll post a couple pictures of the rack with and without this cross bar. (BTW, I'm expecting allocation delivery of my '25 OT in about a month, so can't show pic of it installed yet).

Hey, do you know, is this a pretty easy install? I am pretty useless...would it be easy for my local body shop to do, or my local lexus dealer? If you think of it, can you message me a copy of your install instructions?
