Do the panoramic glass roofs on the 2025 luxury plus open? If not, can you change during the build cycle to a dynamic moonroof? The TX has a dynamic panoramic roof that opens… wondering if I can get it on my 2025 GX.. any one have any info?

It’s the same as 2024… a single fixed piece of glass. You can make it opaque or see-through on demand.

the website says you can add a dynamic moonroof to the luxury plus during the build phase. how can Inverify this?

Do you have a screenshot of what you’re referring to that seems to be causing confusion?

Bottom line is the Luxury+ is exclusively available with the “Dynamic Sky™ panorama glass roof,” which is a fixed large slab of glass which can be frosted on demand. Not only is the Luxury+ only available with this glass, it is the sole GX available with this glass. All other GX trims have a regular standard-size moonroof that opens (and Overtrails have the option to delete that as well).

Still do not understand why the geniuses at Lexus would install a large roof glass panel that doesn't open. Maybe the same ones that added a cooled console that doesn't anything.

I have to agree. What's the purpose of a non opening moon roof? Just eliminate it if it won't open. My OT opens and if I had my way I would not get a moon roof. Same with the cool box. Useless for me. I accepted the moon roof and cool box because the vehicle became available and was close to what I wanted, color accessories etc. Otherwise I would have had to wait 6 months for exactly what I wanted.

The panoramic on my L+ is just what I wanted. My previous vehicles all had sunroofs and I'd open the shade to let light in but not the glass due to wind / noise while driving. So the giant slab of glass is perfect, the bigger the better, and the dynamic clear / frosted thing is a cool bonus.

I dunno, I like the light that a sunroof provides, but I can't rmember the last time I actually opened the glass on any of mine.

I haven’t seen this asked before on this forum, but for others with the panoramic roof, does your glass ever appear unfrosted?

When I turn off the opaque mode, the glass becomes more transparent but still remains partially frosted, it never resembles clear glass. I’ll update with a photo when it’s light out.

No, but they add weight, cost, and complexity.

This is my panoramic glass roof in clear mode. There is a disclaimer in the manual that provides that the glass may appear more opaque upon starting the vehicle, but my experience is that the clear glass mode only changes to semi-frosted.

For any others with a lux +, is this consistent with your pano roof clear glass mode?

I'd rather have no moonroof or the glass roof. I don't think I've ever opened the moonroof on any car I've ever owned equipped with one and having an opening moonroof just leads to added complexity and potential water drainage issues if/when seals go bad.

Ditto. I like to open the shade to let light in, but I never opened the glass in previous vehicles. For the record, the glass on my L+ is slightly “milky” in clear mode. Doesn’t bother me.

Mine started out clear but is now either frosted or lightly milky. Trouble is, I don't want some knucklehead making a leak for me while trying to change the glass.
