Hello all,

I have a GX OT allocation (Earth) with a binding deposit. Hopefully, the third time is the charm (the first dealer had $ 3,000 in dealer-installed junk, if the current deal goes through, I will have saves $5000 between avoiding the dealer added stuff and the lowball trade offer, the second was one someone else passed on, and it had captain's chairs that my wife vetoed when she saw them in person; deep down, I wanted an OT).

The allocation is being built as we speak. The dealer is happy to try to swap out port options as long as I keep the MSRP in at the same general price point. It is slated to come with blackout emblems, illuminated door sills, all-weather mats, and key gloves. I like the blackout. The others I am ok with, but don't feel like they are needed. I am going to have them add the body side molding, which I don't love the look of, but prefer to door dings that I can't seem to avoid. Anything else you would add in? I was thinking about door edge guards or maybe keeping the all-weather mats.

I plan to add an aftermarket rack, canvas back seat and cargo protectors. And then maybe rock rails after getting it out on the trails.

Thanks!

I am not sure if the cargo tray is factory or dealer, but if it's factory, then I'd recommend that. While I have the Canvas back in the cargo area, I do like the additinoal protection and ability to collect some spills when they happened.

Was transporting river rock, where a few of the bags were leaking with moisture, and I was able to easily clean it out.

I like the blackout myself as well, but didn't really care for anyhing else from Lexus besides badging and the all weather mats + cargo trays. Mine came with the cargo cover and the grocery net thingy and I've used both once and then tossed them into my garage.

not a fan of the side moulding's but it's your car. I feel that the height and running boards/rails do a good job of keeping other cars doors from hitting the GX doors

I like the OEM OT roof rack and cross bars. Mine only came with the rack and I just added the cross bars. Clean look and OEM quality. I plan to add some quick release rifle cases on top for my recovery gear.

I am also really interested in the Lexus catback exhaust but very few people have any experience with it so still waiting for more feedback.

The OEM rock sliders are great for light off roading, but they are about 5" too short in the front, which really bothers me.

Ditto. No door dings for me. Yet. So I don't need the weird side moldings.

All weather mats are absolutely necessary for me. So much easier to clean the interior with a quick dump and rinse rather than the slow vacuuming process. And the carpet mats get dingy and worn out very quickly during wet & cold winter months.

Have you considered mud flaps? I just installed a set of Lexus mud flaps front and rear, and those should be standard equipment on OT and OT+

If you can, avoid the "cold box" option. Waste of money and storage space.
