Just recieved my email confirmation my black GX 550 OT is going to be produced in October. Once produced I am informed it is now 4 weeks to delivery, these are the steps the car has to go through:

The various stages within the build and preparation cycle include;

• Production
• Transport to overseas wharf
• Vessel allocation and shipment to Australia
• Australian compliance checks
• Transport to our Pre-Delivery Centre
• Vehicle preparation (Pre-delivery checks, detailing, accessory fitment, registration)

The average wait time from production date to vehicle prepared and ready for delivery is 4 weeks, keeping in mind there are a lot of factors and outside influences involved in building and shipping a vehicle to Australia.

How long does it took from order to production for you mate?

Ordered back in late May in Production late Oct and should be in Sydney for collection late Nov.

That's a really good timing. Does lexus notify on production update etc? Any tips on getting one faster?
