Question on how to improve sound

I see many complaining about the sound quality in the GX. I have not had any issue in my OT, but it may be because I have an equalizer app on my phone for using Pi music player. Bass is good and punchy, not overbearing, quality is good compared to other cars I have had. I have yet to listen to the ML in my wife's Lux+.

I would like to know what app you use so I can try it with my GX

I also use external equalization. In my case it unfortunately applies only to Spotify as my music source.

Regardless, here is my GX ML Spotify EQ curve.

Ok thanks for help out, I use an IPhone.
It appears you might have one built-in to your music app. From a quick google,

"Yes, iOS has an audio equalizer feature. It's primarily found within the Music app, but there are also some accessibility options for adjusting audio. You can find the Music app's equalizer settings in Settings > Music > EQ, where you can choose from a list of preset equalization (EQ) settings. Additionally, there are accessibility features like Headphone Accommodations in Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual > Headphone Accommodations that allow you to customize audio for different frequencies and soft sounds. "

There is a thread on this topic that I can’t seem to find but my ML system is pretty good with the highs and staging once I set the Low, Mids, and Highs to my taste. However, the Lows still seemed boomy and the greatest improvement I got was from adding Dynamat to my doors. the deadening quieted the cabin and cleared up the boominess. I still could use a little more depth in the bass but it sounds super balanced now.

Tag me on it if you find the thread. Thanks.
