I received my Rally Armor mudflaps today. They are very high quality and I was excited to install them.....but I quickly realized that I can't install them because I've removed the metal crash bar piece on the rearward bottom side of the wheel well. I've pointed to this piece with a red arrow in the photo below. To fit 35" tires you need to remove this piece in both front wheel wells. Unfortunately, the Rally Armor mudflaps have a mounting and reinforcing bracket that spans over to a bolt on this crash bar piece, so no mudflaps for me. I'm actually pretty bummed.

I'll post some photos of my mud flaps below as well as a link to Rally Armor's website. I opened the box, sliced open the plastic lining to get at the directions, and realized the problem. Rally Armor doesn't accept returns. I'm asking $275 shipped. They are $303 plus shipping on their website. I have the dark black logo.

Bill, what is your opinion on wrapping these - at least the outside glossy finish - with some sort of matte finish PPF? I’d like to lose the high gloss, make it close to our OT wheel arches, etc.
Someone else commented that they are too flat in appearance; your thoughts on that? I was thinking I could maybe add some slight curvature or bends with some careful heat gun work.

I don't know if they will take a wrap. I have no idea if the adhesive would stick but I am completely ignorant when it comes to to wraps. I'd think some careful heat gun work would give them a curve, though.

Maybe a little light sanding with fine grit would knock the shine off.

I was thinking the same, maybe a little bit of light sanding. And or there might be some sort of a spray I can put on there to lower the gloss by like half or whatever.
But no worries, it’s only a mudflap. I’ll figure it out. Thanks again.
