My wife just got a 2nd car so I'm out of garage space. The GX is going to live outside now so I want to buy a hail cover for those times I know thunderstorms may be coming through. Has anyone used a hail cover with success (on any vehicle)? I don't want one of those inflatable dome units, just a multilayer cover that's rated for hail. Any firsthand recommendations are much appreciated!

As someone who lives in probably some of the worst hail country on the planet ( billions of damage a year like clockwork ).
There is no good solution. Time to start shopping for a bigger garage.
That or just make sure your insurance is gold plated and try not to care about it?

Not buying a new house to protect this vehicle. Just looking for a padded cover that protects against medium size hail. My insurance covers hail damage and I've had a couple cars dinged badly before, but trying to avoid the hassle of repair. Quarter sized hail is normal for us, which is just large enough to dimple metal.
