Seriously looking at a GX (5 Viewers)

I currently own a 2025 Rivian R1S and I’ve hit my limit with service issues. Additionally, the closest Rivian service center is 3 hours one way with no traffic. I like the EV for daily use, but I’m over the issues with it.

That brings me to Lexus as they have a reputation as a very reliable vehicle. I like exterior appearance of the GX more than my Rivian, and the interior a little less as I have the tri motor with the slate sky interior. Overall I’d say it’s a wash. I’d be giving up some performance for hopefully some reliability and longevity.

What do you all think? Does the switch make sense?

Have you ever owned a truck …. The GX drives like a truck … no where near the Rivian…. So if your ok with that I think your good…. Me and my wife daily 2 teslas and we have a GX for trips

I have owned a few trucks. I’m aware the GX isn’t going to have the speed or handling of the R1S, but I see that more as a feature at this point. Driving something so fast daily is frustrating because everyone else drives slow.

But I love maneuvering traffic in an electric car…. Nothing like it
