My OT came w/o side body moldings which I would have ordered based on the number of dings my Honda Pilot showed. The list price for the four molding PCs color matched to Earth is $275. There is a vendor offering these pieces color matched for about $200. They can also provide these painted matte black which Lexus cannot offer. Today I bought some black poster board and made up some pseudo moldings and placed them on the doors with small magnets. I'm thinking the OEM ones look better. Which ones would you choose? Also, please post some photos of your Earth OT showing the moldings - this is the only image I found. TY.

There are some dealerships that have them listed for ~$220. I would personally go that route for genuine OEM parts.

Debating the body side moldings on my Nebula Gray Premium+. The color codes for the parts don't seem to follow the paint color codes. Looking at the parts list I see color names like "MERCURY GRAY MC.", " SONIC QUARTZ", "TERRANE KHAKI M.M.". Pretty sure Khaki = Earth, but otherwise how do these match up to paint codes?

Actually, believe I see the answer to my own question. "MERCURY GRAY MC." has color code 01H9 and Nebula Gray Pearl also has color code 01H9.

Advice: it would be better if you don’t ceramic coat or PPF the car before you put the molding on. The PPF will at some point peel off and the double stick tape will not adhere very well to the ceramic coating. The molding is considered permanent. I had already put ceramic coating on my car and had to wet sand the area down to the clear coat to provide for a good base fore adhesion. I measured the area to apply the molding and put the molding on temporarily with a non permanent double stick tape. Then I outlined the molding with masking tape. Removed the molding and sanded the area that was outlined. You might pay your dealer to do it if they are willing. Mine wouldn’t do it as they said they had no experience with putting them on and referred me to a body shop. They body shop was going to charge me $350 to do it but they didn’t know exactly where I wanted them place and Lexus wouldn’t give them the information since they said the instructions were “ do not release to public”. This was early on about 9 mos ago so things may have changed
