Out of the blue my car started feeling like the brakes were engaged as I’m backing up. It feels like the parking brake engages all of a sudden. I have my foot on the gas and the car barely budges.

Edited to add it happens when taking sharp turns. If I back out and am making a hard turn or making a U-turn the car almost fights to keep moving and jerks to a stop. Park assist is off

Has anyone had a similar issue?

Doesn’t sound like anything to do with stalling.

I have not changed any settings at all. Is there a button I’m missing?

When that happens, turn off the park assist. It’s one of the buttons on the dash to the lower left of the steering wheel. Should only happen when you’re backing near something close.

Can’t remember if there’s an option to completely turn it off in the settings menu.
