Six week owner of a 2025 Luxury +, with almost 1K miles. Just ran though a touchless carwash and as I exited immediately noticed an almost perfectly straight crack about 8 inches long and coming from the bottom of the windshield , about 6 inches left of center. Definitely not there when I entered. No visible chip. When I run my finger over it, either inside or outside, can't feel anything but smooth glass. Looks like it's inside the glass.

Man I sure hope Lexus warranty covers this for you. That windshield has to be big bucks.

Sorry this happened to you. This is the first time I have heard of a GX550 window breaking due to stress. Not saying its not possible, but its definitely rare. The windshield could have been weakened by a rock or something and then the temperature differential in the car wash created the fracture. Like with most warranty claims of this type, this one will come down to your relationship with your dealership, unless they tear it down and somehow determine the windshield was installed incorrectly. I have had good luck with stuff like this in the past just by asking the service advisor really nicely and preparing my argument in advance.

I had less than 500mi on mine when I had a hairline crack, could not feel from outside or inside, coming up right from the bottom middle of the windshield.
I had to push for it, but they replaced it.
