Subwoofer Options and Issues (1 Viewer)

Been struggling for weeks to come up with a good aftermarket subwoofer solution for a GX550 Overtrail.

Ideally wanting a good underseat powered subwoofer, but not sure there’s enough room under the driver or passenger seat for even the smallest (JBL Nano on Crutchfield) underseat subwoofer.

Goals

• improved bass (not audiophile)
• punch up low end/doesn’t need to shake windows
• simple install
• maintain usable storage space in cargo area

Anyone figured out a good solution?

This is supposed to add bass and clarity to the system without changing any of the stock speakers IF you don't have the ML audio system... A few of us will let you know towards the end of January how it does. The amp fits under the seat and allows the addition of a sub pretty easily if more bass is needed.

Edit - preorder has opened up for $799!! :oops: Looks like a Beat Sonic solution is coming to the GX550 (Non-Mark Levinson). Wonder how much it will be. No Matter, I put myself on their waitlist to get one. It seems like a simpler install than on the LC250 and mounts under the Driver's seat.

Thanks…I’ve ordered this as well. Suspect this will do more for the upper and mid-range speakers. May help a bit for the lower end, but suspect the problem with the low end is more in the quality and placement of the sub than the amp/electronics. This amp has a pre-amp output that should make installing a powered subwoofer fairly simple, so was hoping to do them together.
