The Right Choice For Mud Flaps (1 Viewer)

I see some people had their dealers help with the install. Nothing wrong with that, but if these are anything like the ones they have for the WRX (which I don’t see why they wouldn’t be) the install is very simple if you have any wrench turning capabilities. Excellent quality as well. I’ll be purchasing a set soon.

You’re not wrong. In fact, I had my dealer install them as a matter of convenience but ended up having to adjust them significantly in order to get the coverage and uniformity that I wanted. In retrospect, I should/would have done it myself. Not meant to be a negative comment about my dealer as they are absolutely fantastic. The quality of the product and the documentation are extremely good, so self installation would be very simple and straightforward.

I read some cases where installing non flexible non oem can mess up the entire bumper upon impact. Probably not an issue if you aren’t off-roading. In my opinion the one on Amazon visually looks factory however it is a bit longer and flexibility is questionable. I purchased the Lexus OEM mudflaps to be on the safe side - mind you the front mudflaps are different for the trims with fixed running boards vs the automated ones. Ordered extra nuts/screws/clamps just in case.

Hello

This would apply to any mud flap (oem/non oem) of extended length that is manufactured with a harder plastic.

Unlike stiff plastic splash guards, The UR application is made of flexible urethane, and will not strain any mounting points on the vehicle or bumper in this manner. It will also remain flexible in a harsh wintry environment.

It's flexibility allows you to run a longer mud flap (more coverage) and will "give" and return with any impact or bump.

Re: interference

Yes, oem/aftermarket splash guards generally touch and wrap around the fender area and can interfere with different trims as they are specific to that setup. These types of splash guards can cause paint damage when dirt and debris accumulate , generally visible when removed.

Our application does not touch the exterior body of the vehicle in this manner

Today I had a set of OEM mud flaps installed. Look great. They cost more than twice listed above. Not sure why. I had to give the part numbers to the parts department to locate the items.

Any promo codes?

I’m ready to buy, install myself, and provide unbiased review with installation photos and real world off road test results in my build thread.

I spent the past week driving over 100 off road miles in very muddy conditions and I need some flaps. Mud is still falling out from beneath my truck even after 2 hours at the coin-op car wash!

Anyone but these and install?

Any feedback?

All sales final so I’m leery of trying them. Too bad.
