What Could This Leak Be? (1 Viewer)

Just discovered the leak this afternoon. It is a black watery substance. It has no odor that I could detect. Any thoughts on what this could be? This is right at the back edge of the muffler.

Will be visiting the dealer tomorrow on this.

Hard to tell from the pictures, but if it is on your muffler, is it the weep hole that's designed to leak condensation?

It could well be that. I didn't know there was a weep hole. I did start it up 3 times today moving it about in the driveway so it never got anywhere close to warming up and I'm sure there would have been some condensation from the exhaust in the cold muffler.

Most likely the weep hole then if it was just at idle in the driveway. Almost all mufflers have a weep hole to keep them from rusting from the inside.

You can also see some condensation blowing out the weep hole when you first start it up in cold weather. Can look like a tiny leak in the muffler.
